What I’m up to…

It’s been a while since a shopping haul, it’s not that I haven’t been shopping…(#impossible)…It’s just, well, I’ve been busy with school and work and life in general…and sorting out this pile hasn’t been a priority. BUT it’s ok, the photos will be done by tonight…So look for some hauls later this week 😀

All my love, (and thanks for sticking with me)

Eun ❤

Little Cold Months Haul

Where did my summer go? And while I’m asking that, where did fall go? Vancouver has been cold, rainy, foggy and just not a very hospitable place for the poor terrified-of-cold people like me…OH WELL. Time to bundle up and overspend on heating bills.

To help battle the chills, I went shopping for warm, fall/wintery stuff…and here we go.

From Old Navy

Cable knit Sweaters – $12.99 USD each (Down from $34.99 for in-store promotions)

PJ/Lounge Pants – $2.99 USD each (Down from $14.99 for in-store promotion)

I LOVE OWLS…so that one’s mine and the other’s for mum =)

Tank tops – 2 for $10 USD

Buy of the Haul: Sweater Maxi Dress – $9.99 (Was a returned online-only item, so marked down from $39.99, plus 50% off, no flaws :D)

Okay, let me  pause right here and say I love maxi dresses, love ’em. Comfy and no worries about going up and down escalators. PERFECT. So this dress is my new jet-setting outfit 😀 YAY~

I have more stuff from Old Navy and more from other stores from Black Friday Sales…BUT those will have to wait….I’m off on a winter vacation….Will talk more about it in the next few posts 🙂

Wholesale7 Test Haul

So after hearing so much about wholesale sites, I decided to jump into the mix and settled on wholesale7.net, largely because they had this one dress I scoured the streets of Singapore trying to locate and couldn’t because cheap little ole me refused to pay >$20 USD for it 😛 Anyway, the test run went quite well and I’m generally pleased with the whole result…so here’s a brief review… oh right…for all the comparison photos, I took them in a well-lit room…all under natural sunlight etc. 😛 (Or as well-lit as my city will let me, considering how it rains/snows about 80% of the year…) Do note also, that all ratings were adjusted for price. Can’t expect Hermes quality for nightmarket prices now can I? #bestthingsinlifeain’tfree

Up first, here’s the sales pic

And here’s what I received

Quality: 8/10 -> tad thin, needs ironing, few loose threads…otherwise pretty ok 🙂

Similarity to Online Photos: 7/10 -> the color is way off, I was expecting a peachy-pink blouse, this is more purplish-pink

Price: 10/10 -> UNBEATABLE

ImageWhat I received,

I really didn’t like this piece, yes the slits in the shoulder were there and it IS asymmetrical, but it has a horrible hi-low ratio to it, too short in the front, too long in the back…doesn’t help that I’m 5’7″ either >[

Quality: 6/10 -> badly cut, decent material though

Similarity to Online Photos: 6/10 -> same color, the item was in the ballpark region of the photos, but the hi-low cut was badly done (it’s more front to back cut then diagonally across the front…and so on)

Price: 10/10 -> I may hate this dress but the price is still pretty awesome for a dress

Finally, the reason why I chose wholesale7.net to begin with…

and what I got

Quality: 9/10 -> perfect, some loose threads and all but nothing 1 min of work won’t fix

Similarity to Online Photos: 9/10 -> almost identical, just the bodice could be a little more faded, and measurements might be off but otherwise perfect

Price: 10/10 -> I BOUGHT IT FOR 50% OFF SG PRICES #sohappysobouncy #can’tbelieveit #toomanyhashtags

-sorry, i’m just ecstatic about this piece-

Overall, I’m quite pleased with wholesale7 and already made another order :$ Shipping was pretty efficient, I made the order on the 19th of May and received it on the 28th, so a little over a week….and there was also bad weather factored in that delayed delivery by 2 days. I shipped the entire package to Singapore (instead of NA) for convenience since I was back for a while. Packaging was lightweight, each item had their own little clear plastic baggy, and the entire package was essentially a plastic envelope stuffed full of my order.

All in all, I think that while wholesale ordering is very much hit or miss, so far so lucky 🙂

Thanks for reading, stay blessed, fed and loved

Ps. sorry this took a while to write, life got in the way 😦

Asia Shopping Trip Haul

Went through a couple of countries in Asia over 1.5 weeks of break between semesters and as always, where I go, I shop. And I picked up a couple of real goodies for well….asian wholesale prices. #omgthedeals

Anyway, this shall be a quick little blurb, more for me to track what I bought than for you, my dear readers (yes, all 10 of you…I LOVE YOU ALL…hehe)…so here we go.

First up, from the nightmarket outside MBK in Bangkok, Thailand, I cannot recommend visiting this nightmarket enough, lots of really nice clothing, great quality and very cute accessories, very Forever 21 style of jewellery…

Price List (From Top):

Grey Zara Cardigan – $10 USD (Yes, it’s a genuine Zara cardigan, I bought one grey and one black cardi and compared them with my store bought Zara cardigans, IDENTICAL, the lady said it was factory oversupply that they were selling….#SCOOOOORE)

The two dresses – $6 USD each

White Blazer – $9 USD (has really pretty lace cuffs peeking out from the sleeves…favorite buy <3)

I’m still missing some accessories in this photo >.<

Next up, from markets in Siem Reap, Cambodia…

Excuse the toesies 😛

Price list:

Blue Dress – $3 USD

Red Patterned Dress – $4 USD

Crochet-top Maxi Dress – $8 USD (Bought from stores set up right at the ruins of Angkor Wat…)

All in all, a really fulfilling trip, and not just because of the shopping…I definitely recommend visiting Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm Temple (aka. Tree Temple)…I picked up more stuff from Shanghai, but since I can’t for the life of me locate a photo, I’ll just lump that purchase together with my Wholesale site order….when I do get around to snapping photos of those….

In the meantime, thought I’d share some photos of Siem Reap 🙂

The Inner Temple (Shows how steep the climb up is)

A Young Boy (probably aged 8-10), Piloting a Motorized Boat @ a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Tonle Sap – an entire village built on the water…

Cambodian Traditional Dance

Until next time…

Scratch that travel itch, explore the world, it’s a beautiful place… ❤

And to all my American readers….HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ❤

Some Accessories?

Well, I’ve promised an accessories haul for about 2 weeks (or more but who’s counting), and I’m finally delivering. As always, my very nifty self managed to score some pretty awesome deals on both sides of the border, so here we go 🙂

2013-05-17 15.06.23

Price List: Flower Collar Necklace – $2USD

                 Studded Necklace – $2USD

                 Studded Ring – $2USD

                 Turquoise Earrings – $3USD

All the items above, with the exception of the earrings, are from Suzy Shier. The earrings are from H&M.

My Tommy Hilfiger Aviator Shades from T.J Maxx for only….*drumroll if you please* $9.99 USD (and of course with applicale taxes). Honestly, despite T.J Maxx and Winners sharing a similar standard and format in terms of what they sell and price range etc. T.J Maxx is by far, BY FAAAAR, the better place to shop. Loved their shades section. #neverenoughsunnies

Finally, this isn’t really technically an accessory, but I’m quite pleased to add it to my collection.

ImageThis is Mary Kay’s Dance to Life limited edition perfume, cost price? $0 USD. Long story short, I joined a family friend and her kid at a school fair and she won an entire Mary Kay set at a silent auction. She doesn’t use perfume at all and the price she bid was so much lower than the listed price of the items that she decided “Oh, here you go…” and passed the bottle along to me. (Considering how I wore Chanel Chance everyday before I was gifted with this, she knows I’m a perfume <strike> freak </strike> fan.)

Anyway, this lovely pink bottled perfume has top notes of wet apple and rose (LOVE), so it goes on smelling super fresh and really like a summer breeze. This is followed by Jasmine (ALSO LOVE) and Magnolia and finishes with Vanilla and Warm Amber. The overall result has actually made this perfume my recent favorite. I absolutely adore it, and for $50USD, it really isn’t that pricey to purchase either. So, if you love a fresh, crisp summer scent for less than Chanel price, HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😀

Well, there you go. My most recent buys. There are a few more hauls coming up including an Asian nightmarket haul, some Old Navy stuff and *bounces* circle lenses. My first order ever. I’m so hyped for it, can’t wait to go pick the package up tomorrow.

Till the next time, shop lots, laugh lots and live blessed. ❤

Ps. Speaking of collection, I really should get around to documenting my bags and perfumes 😛 Oh, the things I need to do. (With pleasure of course <3)

Ameeerica, Ameeerica

One of my favorite, possibly the 2nd most favorite (the first being food :X), 4 letter words is “SALE” and the USA, land of Bald Eagles, too many fast food chains and airports that I hate is also home to some of the best deals in the world (2nd perhaps only to China #wholesaleparadise) .

So on a weekend trip down to the state of Washington, I picked up a few too many Hollister shirts…Originally I had my eyes on a few A&F pieces, but after leaving them at the counter and wandering over next door to their sister chain, I left them behind, no regrets.

Here’s the Haul from Hollister (and Winners)…

ImageAnd a closeup of the Galaxy Skirt

Total Cost:

Hollister Shirts (Both male and female): $10 USD each

Galaxy Skirt: $15 USD

Up next: some accessories I’ve accumulated over the last mth or so…

Until then, stay happy, blessed and shop lots

Mini Haul

So, Hollister and A&F had their seasonal clearance sales, and me being me, the word “Sale” immediately made it inevitable that I would stop by the websites and the stores.

Unfortunately, my little town lacks a brick and mortar A&F store, BUT I did manage a visit to Hollister and ended up with a couple of cute little tube tops. Mike Jeffries, the umbrella/parent company of Abercrombie, Hollister, Gilly Hicks etc, makes the cutest tube tops ever…and I’ve been lusting after a few of them, but the full retail price of about $45 CDN/USD has put me off for years…

Anyway, during the sales, the off-season items hit the shelves at 50% off, and the sale further reduces the price by 50-70%… #dealofthecentury

Price List: Floral Tube: $7.50, Blue Crochet Tube: $5.50, Plain Tee: $5

With tax, the total came up to ~$21 (I’m quite proud of getting 3 pieces for the price of half of one :P)

And the photos…(click to enlarge 🙂 )

I plan on wearing the tubes with a pair of plain white shorts, and toss on a cardigan with flipflops, sneakers or pretty sandals 🙂

Till next time, stay happy, healthy and loved. xoxo

(ps. I’m in Singapore again over the Chinese New Year which happens to coincide with my break this year….we all know what that means…BUGIS!~)
